An instrumental version by Heywood and Hugo Winterhalter reached #2 on the Billboard chart in 1956. A version sung by Andy Williams was also popular that year, reaching #7 on the Billboard chart. The Cameos had a Chicago-area hit in 1960, and the Sounds Orchestral, conducted by Johnny Pearson, hit the Billboard Top Hot 100 and Easy Listening charts in 1965.
